§ 00 · The invitation

A word from the founder

Dear Worshipper,

I want to speak to the part of you that knows there is more.

Growth in this journey is never accidental. It is intentional, and it requires responsibility. At some point, you must decide to be deliberate about your formation, not only in your sound, but in your heart, your understanding and your discipline.

Many are gifted. Few are truly formed. Without formation, even what is powerful cannot be sustained. That is why The Worship School exists. Not merely to teach, but to guide you into greater clarity, depth and expression to help you steward what you carry with intention, wisdom and excellence.

If something within you has been stirred, do not ignore it. Lean into it. We would be honoured to walk this journey with you.

Love, and Blessings, Fisayo Check Founder · The Worship School
§ 01 · Our vision

Not merely a place to learn music — a space where worshippers are formed.

We exist to raise a generation of leaders who host the Presence and lead with authority. Our work is continuous, patient formation of worshippers; spiritually, musically and technically.

The Worship School is built on three convictions that shape every cohort, every classroom, every conversation. School speaks to structure, discipline, growth. Worship anchors everything in the pursuit of God's presence; never performance.

Read the formation philosophy
i.

Honour

Reverence for the One we worship and for the gift, the call and the people entrusted to us.

ii.

Excellence

Mastery as a form of devotion. We refine the craft because the King deserves our best, not our leftovers.

iii.

Formation

Intentional shaping of the inner life. Skill without depth is hollow; we pursue both.

§ 02 · The formation

Four streams, one river.

Like the river that flowed out of Eden and parted into four heads, our formation flows from one source and reaches every part of the worshipper. We refuse the trade-off; every stream is essential.

The Person

Who the worshipper is becoming

Character, integrity and inner formation. Before the platform, before the song, before the room; the person God is shaping in private is the person who will lead in public.

The Presence

A continuous and steadfast devotional life

Personal prayer disciplines, presence-centred leadership, intercession, and the inner formation required to sustain a worshipper under the weight and responsibility of the calling.

The Principles

A worshipper who understands true worship

Biblical and scriptural foundations of worship, doctrinal soundness, scripture-rooted songwriting, and the discernment required to effectively lead and steward people.

The Power

Capacity that wills the atmosphere

Vocal technique, instrumentation, ear training, arrangement, sound design, and stage flow; the disciplined mastery that yields itself to the atmosphere so that worship can be fully encountered and deeply experienced.

§ 03 · The program

One program. One formation.

For the present, we will operate a single cohort utilizing all available resources. As the school expands, additional cohorts will be introduced progressively.

The Foundation Cohort

A three-month formation in worship, sound and spirit.

Our flagship cohort is designed for worshippers, team members, and ministry leaders who desire intentional formation rather than rapid training. It spans twelve weeks of structured weekly live classes, mentorship, assignments, and a supportive community experience.

  • Duration 3 months (12 weeks)
  • Format Online (live + recorded)
  • Time commitment 6–8 hrs / week

§ 04 · A note from the founder
The Worship School is the school I wished I had when I was first given a microphone and entrusted to lead a room. We are not focused on producing stars, but on shaping and forming worshippers with depth, character, and conviction. If this is what you have been seeking, you have found it. Welcome home.
